I don't know why so many people think Season 3 of Grey's is crappy because i really loved it!
but it was really sad that Burke never got to say his really sweet wedding vows to Cristina in the end.
The last scene was really really heartwrenching, seeing Cristina all heartbroken after Burke left.

Why do they keep assuming that they're loving their partner by walking away/letting her go?
That it's for the girl's own good and that by leaving it'll cost her less pain?

It happens again and again in the story,
Derek walking away from Meredith so she can be with Finn cause Finn's 'the good guy',
Burke backing out from the wedding last minute even though Cristina had put in so much effort to accomodate his wishes to have a big traditional chapel wedding,
Alex letting Ava/Rebecca go back to her husband, 'the decent guy', even though she practically begged to be with him,
even George 'doing the right thing' by staying with Callie even though he's probably in love with Izzie.

Isn't it rather obvious that being hurt by the person they love is much less painful for them than being left alone?
I mean, it's getting rather tiring seeing the same mistakes being made over and over again in the show, i sure hope some smart fellow sees the light in the next season before it's too late.

and i thought the scene between Izzie and George in the locker room when Izzie confesses was really moving too.
Sad, but beautiful in a way.
And George never says a word, because he's just a guy who does the right thing, but his eyes say so so much. His eyes say all the things that he can't.
It's really touching.

(Izzie was in the OR when Burke was getting opinions about his wedding vow hence you see some similarities.)
